Spain's property major Metrovacesa has acquired the Access Tower in Frankfurt-Niederrad, Germany, for an undisclosed amount. The 20-storey office tower was sold by US investor Tishman Speyer. The building provides some 20,500 m[sup]2[/sup] of space and in late 2006 achieved full lease when about 7,000 m[sup]2[/sup] was let to Marsh and Mercer Human Resource Consulting. Other tenants in the tower include Lufthansa, BMC Software und Euro Conex.

Tishman Speyer is a global leader, owning, developing, and operating first-class properties. Since its foundation in 1978, the company has acquired or developed a portfolio comprising 10.2 million m2 valued in excess of EUR 35 bn. Tishman Speyer has been active in Germany since 1988 when it began development of the MesseTurm, a 60-storey skyscraper which became Europe's tallest building and a symbol for Frankfurt. Since then, the firm has acquired or developed approximately EUR 4 bn of property in the five major cities in Germany and over EUR 9.5 bn across Europe.

Madrid-based Metrovacesa was established in Spain in 1918. The company is listed on the IBEX 35 stock market index.
