Los Angeles-based Tishman International Companies and co-developer GE Real Estate have announced the topping out of Bulgaria's first Class A office building, known as Building A02, located in the Sofia Airport Center (SAC) development. SAC is situated adjacent to Sofia International Airport, approximately five kilometres east of downtown Sofia.

The traditional topping out ceremony, held recently, included the triumphant hoisting of the Bulgarian flag on the building's roof, marking the moment when the highest structural point in the building construction was achieved. The 17,500 m2 office building is the first to be constructed in the Office Center and is slated for completion by the end of 2009.

When fully completed, Sofia Airport Center will include 100,000 m2 of Class A offices with underground parking, plus 22,000 m2 of prime logistics space and 28,000 m2 of Class B+ offices. The plans include a 250-room, high-end hotel with associated dining, recreational and conference facilities.
