Alternative asset management and investment group Tikehau Capital has announced two internal promotions, aimed at boosting its fundraising capacity in the UK and expanding its relationships with local institutional investors.

Carmen Alonso

Carmen Alonso has been promoted to head of the United Kingdom alongside her responsibilities as head of Iberia. In the new UK role, she will oversee all investment strategies and capital raising for Tikehau in that market, which includes private credit, real assets and private equity.

Alonso will run the UK office alongside Peter Cirenza, who has also been promoted to new roles. In addition to his current position of chairman of Private Equity, he will assume the role of UK chairman and chairman of Tactical Strategies, the platform dedicated to special operations and situations and bespoke multi-asset solutions for private clients.

Cirenza has led Tikehau’s UK office for four years, contributing to the development of the firm’s private asset strategies in the region. He brings more than 30 years’ experience in the finance industry to his new position backing the leadership of Tactical Strategies and Private Equity.

Alonso joined Tikehau Capital in 2015 and has spent the past five years building the firm’s presence in Iberia, establishing its regional office in Madrid and growing its offering to Iberian institutional investors.

Tikehau Capital opened its London office in 2013 and currently relies on more than 50 professionals locally covering a wide range of asset classes, such as leveraged loans, CLOs, special opportunities, direct lending, real estate, and private equity.
