REFURBISHED OFFICE BUILDINGS - Belmont Court in Brussels. The design work was by Architectes Associés Desmedt Lacour Leribaux in collaboration with Jean Glibert. The developer was Axa Belgium. The new 7 World Trade Center tower - which won the Special Jury Award - was entered in the same category. Click on the link below for more details of the Special Jury Award.

BUSINESS CENTRES - Pórtico (Madrid, Spain). The architect was SOM Architects with Rafael de La-Hoz, and the developers were Hines and Monthisa.

SHOPPING CENTRES: Europa Passage in Hamburg, Germany. The architects were BRT Architekten, Bothe-Richter-Teherani BDA and Hadi Teherani and the developers were Allianz Immobilien and HSH Nordbank.

HOTELS & TOURISM RESORTS: Malmaison Oxford/Oxford Castle in Oxford, UK. The architects were Architects Design Partnership, Dixon Jones, Jestico and Whiles, Panter Hudspith and Richard Griffiths Architects. The developers were: The Trevor Osborne Property Group, Oxford Castle Ltd with their partners: Oxfordshire County Council, South East England Development Agency, English Heritage, Oxford Preservation Trust.

RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS: Colliers Kirinda in Kirinda, Sri Lanka. The scheme was designed by Shigeru Ban, with Colliers International as the developer. Colliers Kirinda was also the recipient of a special tribute that is awarded 'to a project in line with sustainable and environmental features'.
