Marylebone-focused property investment firm The Howard de Walden Estate has appointed a new head of property investment.
Currently with Savills, David McArthur will join the business on 21 September.
McArthur will succeed Julian Best who is to become the business’s executive property director when Simon Baynham retires from that post at the end of September.
Announcing the appointment, Best commented: 'David has more than a decade’s experience of working in the central London investment market, and is ideal for a role which entails enhancing the business’s retail & leisure, office, medical, residential and educational assets through further strategic acquisitions, disposals and development.'
The Howard de Walden Estate comprises more than £4.6 bn of assets, including 92 acres of London’s Marylebone.
Commenting on his appointment, McArthur said: 'The Howard de Walden Estate has stewardship of one of London’s most vibrant and diverse locations and I’m very much looking forward to working with the team on the opportunities which this unique neighbourhood provides.'
