Thales UK has appointed King Sturge as its UK property adviser to help it get the full financial benefit from its real estate holdings. Thales plans to undertake a full market review of its property holdings and consolidate in premises currently being purpose-built for them in Crawley by industrial space specialist Segro.

Commenting on the appointment, David Mirmelli, recently appointed properties director at Thales UK, said: 'Like many corporates, Thales UK needs to make its real estate work for the business. We have been rationalising our property holdings, signified by our consolidation, with Segro, in Crawley, which has the potential to cut costs and improve quality of work space for our highly specialised staff. But there is still much to achieve. The selection and appointment of King Sturge will allow us to drive forward our strategy in a number of areas.'
