Kovarík will be responsible for driving growth across the Czech Republic and strategy development, as well as the sourcing, acquisition, and financing of large-scale logistics projects in the region. Petr will be based in Prague.

He joins TCC with over 15 years’ experience in the industrial and logistics property market in the Czech Republic. He moves to TCC from VGP, a pan-European developer, manager and owner of logistics and semi-industrial real estate, where he was Commercial officer and oversaw several successful acquisitions and development projects, such as MD Logistika, a 40,000 m2 warehouse space in Prague Horní Pocernice, and Hella Autotechnik Nova, a 35,000 m2 production and warehouse space in Olomouc.

Prior to this, Kovarík was a broker at DTZ, the pan-European real estate manager and investor, where he brought to market and let industrial space for several industrial developers, such as ProLogis, Heitman and PointPark Properties.

Ian Worboys, managing director, head of European Logistics at Trammell Crow Company (TCC), said: ‘Since inception less than a year ago and following on our successful launch of offices in five other European countries, our approach has been to hire best-in-class talent to lead our European operations and Petr’s appointment reflects exactly that. There remains strong demand for high-quality European logistics properties and Petr’s contacts, expertise and in-depth knowledge of the Czech industrial market will enable us to help meet this demand by developing the highest quality properties in the most sought-after locations.’
