Taurus Developments, a development firm set up by former Land Securities and Goodman development director, Michael Gibbens, has strengthened its team with two new appointments.
Luca Nardini has joined the Taurus executive team from Montagu Evans where he was an associate partner in the Industrial & Logistics team. In his new role he will be responsible for the delivery of existing Taurus projects and the acquisition of new development opportunities.
The company has also appointed Andrew Hynard as chair of the Advisory Board. He has worked in the UK real estate industry for more than 40 years, having spent 32 years with Jones Lang LaSalle, latterly as UK Deputy Chairman, before being appointed as Chief Executive of the Howard de Walden Estate from 2016 -2020.
His role with Taurus is to help guide the strategic direction of the business and to build on existing and establish new relationships with development funding and investment partners.
Taurus was set up in 2010 by former Land Securities and Goodman Development Director, Michael Gibbens, and has a focus on the industrial, warehouse and office sectors.
Its expanding list of development partners includes LaSalle Investment Management, Columbia Threadneedle, Legal & General, Barings, Hammond Rutts Investments, Barwood Capital and the University College of Estate Management.
Recent developments have been completed in Basildon, Havant, Haverhill and Reading. Its latest development acquisition in partnership with Legal & General is a four-acre site in Stevenage where a 74,000 sq ft industrial/warehouse scheme in four units will be developed speculatively.
Commenting on the recent appointments, Michael Gibbens, managing director of Taurus Developments, commented: ‘Luca and Andrew have joined Taurus at a really exciting time both for the company and for the ever-growing logistics and industrial sector.’
