Syntrus Achmea Real Estate & Finance has sold the Weesperstaete building in Amsterdam on behalf of the Achmea Dutch Office Fund for a price of just over €73 mln.
The company paid €44 mln for the building to the owner, an Irish insurance firm, back in 2014.
The buyer, as it appears from the Dutch land registry, is a company named Weesper Propco.
The office building at Weesperplein 6-8 dates back from the 1970s and comprises a total lettable floor area of 12,991 m2 as well as 40 parking spaces in the underground garage. Weesperstaete has been let on a long-term basis to the municipality of Amsterdam. The adjacent shop unit at Sarphatistraat 65-67, leased to a local retailer, is also part of the sale.
The selling party was advised by CBRE and Nauta Dutilh.
