Swiss Life REIM (France) has signed a deal for 20% of Cargo, Carrefour's logistics property company.
The OPCI put together a pool of French institutional investors to complete the deal.
Cargo, a real estate company dedicated to logistics and controlled by Carrefour, was created by the French hypermarket giant in the first half of this year, with a plan to co-finance it with third parties.
'For the first time, Swiss Life REIM (France) is present in the logistics sector alongside a major distribution brand and with a unique portfolio characterised by its size and the quality of its assets,' says Swiss Life REIM (France) founder Frédéric Bôl.
Notaires Trocadéro and Cabinet Lacourte Raquin Tatar advised Swiss Life.
