Swiss Life Asset Managers and its German asset management arm, Corpus Sireo is to start fundraising for their first real estate fund targeting an investment volume of around €1 bn.
The vehicle, named Swiss Life REF (LUX) German Core Real Estate, is set up under Luxembourg law and will hold German residential, office and retail properties.
It will aim to raise equity of around €400 mln, initially from companies of the Swiss Life Group, but will open to Swiss institutional investors on 1 December, 2015.
The fund will invest in residential, office and retail properties with a focus on Hamburg, Berlin, Duesseldorf, Cologne, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Munich.
The portfolio will be built and managed by Corpus Sireo.
