Swiss Life Asset Managers has appointed Valérie de Robillard as head of ESG real assets, working across the firm’s real estate and infrastructures units.
De Robillard joins from French real estate developer Nexity, where she served as head of corporate social responsibility for over four years. She will report to Swiss Life AM ESG head, Nelufer Ansari, working alternately in Paris and Zurich.
Ansari said: ‘Her professional experiences in private companies as well in think-thanks will be a strong asset for the development of Swiss Life Asset Managers’s sustainable investments strategies.’
De Robillard has been charged with coordinating and accelerating the firm's ESG approach at a pan-European level. Swiss Life AM created a dedicated European ESG team last year under Ansari to promote the inclusion of ESG practices in the firm’s products and services.
De Robillard was deputy director of French advisory firm Utopies for eight years prior to her role at Nexity. She was also a member of the board of directors of the Observatoire de l'Immobilier Durable (OID).
Swiss Life AM manages €240 bn assets as of June 2020, of which €67.1 bn are invested in real estate. The firm also manages another €26.6 bn via its affiliates Livit and Corpus Sireo.
