Swedish property group Norrporten has announced the purchase of the Kalvebod Brygge office complex in central Copenhagen for DKK 175 mln (EUR 23 mln). The vendor is HSH Nordbank, which used the facility as its headquarters in Denmark.

Swedish property group Norrporten has announced the purchase of the Kalvebod Brygge office complex in central Copenhagen for DKK 175 mln (EUR 23 mln). The vendor is HSH Nordbank, which used the facility as its headquarters in Denmark.

The property comprises 8,600 m2 of modern office space over eight storeys. It consists of two buildings leased to a number of tenants including HSH Nordbank in liquidation, Situs, JP Morgan and law firm Lund Elmer Sandager.

'The acquisition reinforces our presence in the Copenhagen market. It fits perfectly into our existing portfolio and will give us important synergies in the ongoing administration and management of our properties in Copenhagen,' said Bo Henriksson of Norrporten.

After the purchase Norrporten owns a total of 110,000 m2 of offices in Copenhagen.

Headquartered in Sundsvall, Sweden, Norrporten focuses on commercial real estate in the Nordic region and has been listed on the Stockholm stock exchange since the mid-1990s. The company owns and manages 131 properties with a total floor area of 1.1 million m2 and with a value of SEK 20 bn (EUR 2.2 bn).
