Swedish retail property developer Svenska Handelsfastigheter has raised SEK 7 bn (€630 mln) in a rights issue which it plans to spend on acquisitions.
Cushman & Wakefield’s capital markets team in Sweden advised Svenska on the issue.
Following the capital raising, the firm's ownership group consists of the Swedish pension fund Fjärde AP-fonden, Kåpan Pensioner (pension fund), Länsförsäkringar Liv (life insurance company) and the management of Svenska.
Svenska was founded in June 2015 and currently owns 50 retail properties with an estimated market value of SEK 3 bn (€315 mln).
