Private equity group Sveafastigheter's Sverige I property fund has sold the Gamla Volvofabriken asset in Kalmar, Sweden to a local investment group for an undisclosed amount.

Private equity group Sveafastigheter's Sverige I property fund has sold the Gamla Volvofabriken asset in Kalmar, Sweden to a local investment group for an undisclosed amount.

The asset, a former Volvo factory, provides 60,000 m2 of lettable area multi-let to several tenant including the local municipality.

Sveafastigheter acquired the property and surrounding area 2005, as part of the Kalmar Tech Park acquisition. It has since worked with asset manager P&E Förvaltning to improve the profile of the asset and extend it with the development of the Hansa City retail area, which opened in 2006.
