Nordic fund manager Sveafastigheter has bought Seniorbostäder i Sverige, the owner of a portfolio of 34 assisted living (LSS) properties.
The deal was made on behalf of the company's Fund III. Financial details were not disclosed.
The assets, which are spread over southern and middle Sweden, will join the portfolio of Högkullen Assisted Living, owned by Sveafastigheter together with Residenset as co-owner and asset manager. The purchase brings Högkullen's total assets to 124.
'The acquisition of another 34 properties secures Högkullen’s position as Sweden’s largest private property owner within the LSS segment. The portfolio is a great complement to the existing assets and strengthens our strategic clusters of LSS-residentials,' said Mikael Pehrsson, senior associate at Sveafastigheter.
LSS refers to the Swedish Law about support and service to disabled persons, which aims to provide good living conditions for disabled persons. LSS residentials are smaller, suited group or service homes with access to professional assistance.
Nordier advised the seller, while MAQS and PwC acted for the buyer.
