Global alternative asset manager Tikehau Capital has appointed Dr. Steffen Meinshausen as head of Real Estate Germany.
Based in Frankfurt, Meinshausen will be responsible for developing Tikehau Capital's European real estate impact strategy in Germany. This strategy focuses on investments across various real estate sectors (offices, retail, logistics, hotels, residential), both existing and ripe for redevelopment, in value-added strategies, prioritizing energy efficiency and sustainability.
He will report to Dominik P. Felsmann, head of Germany, and Frédéric Jariel, co-head of Real Estate activities at Tikehau Capital.
Meinshausen brings 12 years of investment experience in real assets and a wide range of deal types such as single asset and share deals, developments, portfolio transactions, corporate deals, non-performing loans, and joint ventures.
Before joining Tikehau Capital, Meinshausen served as the head of German Investments at Madison International Realty. In this role, he was instrumental in sourcing operating and JV partners for pan-European direct secondary and platform investments, specifically focusing on the DACH region. Before his tenure at Madison, Meinshausen held various leadership positions at 777 Capital Advisors and Corestate Capital Advisors. He kickstarted his career at Lazard and Cerberus Capital Management.
Frederic Jariel, co-head of Real Estate at Tikehau Capital, said: ‘This strategic decision underscores our commitment to further strengthening our foothold in the German market. Steffen brings invaluable local expertise to our team in a market we aim to develop within the current environment.’
Dominik P. Felsmann, head of Germany at Tikehau Capital, added: ‘I look forward to welcoming Steffen in our team and am excited about the prospects that lie ahead and are confident that with this new appointment, we will continue to achieve significant milestones and solidify our position in the German market.’

Joining Tikehau Capital presents an exciting opportunity to leverage my expertise and to further develop Tikehau Capital’s real estate platform, creating value for our clients and investors.’
