St. Modwen has announced the appointment of Andrew Dobson as senior director – strategic land & planning to support the ongoing development of residential schemes.
In this role, Dobson will focus on identifying and promoting sites to develop as the company continues to bring forward strategic land across the UK that will ultimately feed its St. Modwen Homes and St. Modwen Logistics businesses. He will report into Guy Gusterson, managing director of Strategic Land & Regeneration.
With over 25 years’ experience in the development industry, Dobson joins from Crest Nicholson, where he spent almost seven years, most recently as managing director of its strategic projects division. In this role he managed a team of 30 that was responsible for identifying, promoting, securing and delivering all aspects of large scale residential led communities.
The new hire will support St. Modwen in the delivery of existing and future master developer partnerships with landowners, such as the recently announced partnership with Severn Trent on its 154-acre site to the west of Cheltenham, which is part of a wider mixed-use project known as The Golden Valley Development.
Earlier this month, St. Modwen announced a joint venture with Merton College, Oxford, to develop 240 acres of land in Worcester to create a new neighborhood of up to 1,250 homes and 900,000 sq ft of logistics space.
