Portuguese group Square AM has made its first acquisition in Spain with the purchase of the Project Sun portfolio for an undisclosed amount.
The package consists of 10 supermarkets in the Madrid and Andalusia regions largely operated by Carrefour.
Advisor Cushman & Wakefield and law firm Cuatrecasas advised the vendor while JLL and Garrigues acted for the buyer.
'This transaction confirms once again the growing interest of investors in the purchase of assets related to the food sector, given its demonstrated resilience,' said Yola Camacho, partner of Capital Markets at Cushman & Wakefield Spain.
