Aviva Investors was the vendor of the property at 161-167 Oxford Street and 36 Poland Street in the Uk capital.

Sports Direct said that it intended to redevelop the property. The re-configured office space will serve as the group's new headquarters in London to replace its former base at New Cavendish Street. The retail element will be home to a new flagship store for Sports Direct's luxury clothing brand Fannels.com.

International law firm Dentons advised Sports Direct on the transaction. Dentons real estate partner Andrew Henderson, long-time legal adviser to Sports Direct, is leading on the deal that is expected to complete before the end of April 2016.
