Finnish real estate company Sponda plans to invest up to EUR 200mln in the development of Ratina shopping centre in Tampere. The company said it has bought a plot of land from the city of Tampere for the development of the centre, whose construction is due to start this year. Ratina will have 55,000 m[sup]2[/sup] of retail and service premises, as well as parking for 1,350 cars. On completion, the shopping centre will offer people living in the area a wide range of shopping services for consumer goods as well as well-being and restaurant services. The company is also acquiring the Autotuonti property close to the shopping centre where it intends to build an office building.
