Nordic listed property firm Sponda is to develop a 15,000 m2 office complex for consultancy firm Sweco in the Ilmala district of Helsinki.
The three-building office complex will involve an investment of around €57 mln and be largely occupied by Sweco itself, which is taking a lease on 83% of the scheme.
Construction of the property will start in spring 2014, with completion slated for December 2015.
Sponda said it is aiming for Leed Gold environmental certification for the scheme, which will also provide development potential for a further two buildings.
'Significant regional development is under way at the Ilmala and Pasila districts of Helsinki. Within the next few years, plenty of new office space will be constructed in Ilmala,' Sponda said in a statement.
Sponda specialises in commercial properties in the largest cities in Finland and has €3.3 bn of assets under management.
