Property investment company Sponda has sold a two-hectare land area in the Hakuninmaa district of Helsinki to Skanska Talonrakennus for some EUR 6.5 mln.
The piece of land at Hakuninmaantie Road 3 is part of the planned Kuninkaantammi residential area. Sponda recorded capital gains of about EUR 5.4 mln on the sale.
Sponda has also sold a land area that is planned for housing production in the centre of Kauniainen to Skanska Talonrakennus for EUR 3 mln. Sponda recorded capital gains of EUR 2.9 mln on this transaction.
Sponda said it had sold the plots as they are for housing and therefore do not fit in with its focus on owning office, retail and logistics properties.
