Some of the funds will be used for refinancing the company's loan portfolio, to cover transaction costs, and for general contingencies, Sponda said in a statement. The participating banks in the syndicated credit facility are Danske Bank, Eurohypo, Handelsbanken, Nordea and OKO Bank. Nordea is acting as lead manager and underwriter of the loan facility.
Sponda is the largest investment company listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange. Its portfolio of commercial properties in the Helsinki metropolitan area has a total a total lettable area is 890, 000 m2 and is valued at 1.37 bn.
