According to Jorge Ruiz, head of Hotels Iberia at CBRE, said: ‘Hotels is the third segment that has received the most real estate investment in the first half of the year, behind Living and Retail. It is undoubtedly a sector that continues to grow at a good pace in our country and is once again attracting the attention of major brands. In addition, this sector is tending towards more luxurious and comfortable options, focused on a more demanding client and with greater capital. Little by little we will see how boutique hotels and high-end options are being promoted.’

Real estate investment in the hotel sector was 57% higher year-on-year, reaching €1.7 bn, the best performance in a first half for the past five years.
