London-headquartered global law firm Eversheds Sutherland has named Rashpal Soomal as a partner in its real estate litigation team, specifically working across finance and planning.
With over 20 years’ of expertise, Soomal joins from Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, where she worked on contentious property matters, development litigation and mitigation around development constraints.

She has extensive experience with ‘right to light’ matters, i.e the right granted to householders to enjoy the light that comes into their homes, acquired after 20 years of uninterrupted access to the light.
Soomal also advises on strategy, robust risk mitigation measures under section 203 and insurance, the existence of legal rights and likely remedies, through to injunction litigation.
