International shopping centre group Sonae Sierra has appointed Marco Pellizzari as general manager of development at its Italian business.
Before joining Sonae Sierra, Pellizzari was head of retail property transactions at BNP Paribas Real Estate Advisory Italy. He had earlier developed extensive know-how in retail real estate development thanks to his previous experience at Pirelli Real Estate (now Prelios), Decathlon Italia, Blockbuster Italia and Edilnord Progetti.
Ana Guedes de Oliveira, executive director of development at Sonae Sierra, said: 'With this appointment we reinforce our Italian team in order to continue to pursue the sustainable growth of our activity in Italy, a core market for Sonae Sierra.'
