Rental housing investor Socimi Domo Activos has appointed to its board of directors Juan Pepa, formerly of Lone Star.
Pepa takes a seat vacated by Enrique Guerra, the director general of the firm who left for personal reasons, earlier this month.
Between 2008 and 2017 Pepa was at Lone Star, overseeing around €10 bn of investments across Europe. Pepa is credited by media reports in Spain with a key role in revitalising the country’s real estate sector after the global financial crisis, 12 years ago.
Before accepting the new role, Pepa was involved in running residential and alternatives investor, Stoneshield Capital.
His recent background also includes a spell with Neinor Homes, during which the company floated on the stock exchange. It was reportedly the first listing in 10 years of a Spanish property firm.
