SNS Property Finance, the second largest property financier in the Netherlands, has unveiled four management appointments that come into effect next month.

SNS Property Finance, the second largest property financier in the Netherlands, has unveiled four management appointments that come into effect next month.

Michiel van Loon will be appointed managing director restructuring & recovery as of 1 December 2008. Van Loon has been with SNS Property Finance as managing director Northern Europe for more than eight years. Prior to that he was involved in real estate development.

Jan van Haarlem succeeds Van Loon as managing director of SNS's activities in Northern Europe. Van Haarlem has also been with SNS for eight years and is managing director commerce for the Dutch market. SNS said that he will use his knowledge and experience in property to continue to expand the firm's international activities. 'Also a factor in this is the fact that our Dutch business relations are becoming increasingly active in the international market,' the financier said.

The post of managing director commerce for the Netherlands is being filled by Arjen Harmens and Arthur van Midden. Harmens will focus on project financing and Van Midden on investment financing.

SNS Property Finance has offices in the Netherlands, France, North America and Spain and finances projects in Germany, Belgium, France, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and North America. The firm is wholly owned by SNS Reaal, which has a balance sheet total of EUR 103 bn, and employs a staff of some 7,000 people.

The banking and insurance provider has been listed on Euronext Amsterdam since 18 May 2006, and has been part of the Midcap Index since 2 March 2007.
