Swedish construction group Skanska has won a contract from a consortium of investors to build a 9,300 m2 prime City office development in London.

Swedish construction group Skanska has won a contract from a consortium of investors to build a 9,300 m2 prime City office development in London.

The consortium comprises CarVal Investors, Orion Capital Managers, the City of London Corporation and Quadrant Estates.

Work on 100 Cheapside will start immediately, the partners said.

Skanska will be responsible for the £28 mln (€32 mln) construction of the Grade A office development, which is scheduled for completion in autumn 2014.

CBRE and BNP Paribas Real Estate are acting for the joint venture partners on the leasing of 100 Cheapside. The building is designed by EPR Architects.
