Swedish construction firm and developer Skanska has won a SEK 400 mln (€36 mln) contract from property manager Örebrobostäder for the renovation and construction of new apartment buildings.
For a year, Skanska has been working on project preparations, demolition of a few existing buildings and renovation of two apartment buildings.
The new contract foresees the construction of a parking garage and four buildings with around 90 apartments and shops and restaurant premises on the ground floor.
The Hållstugan block is located in central Örebro, Sweden, between Stortorget and Trädgårdsgatan.
Skanska's work affects approximately half of the block, where new walking paths and square areas will also be constructed.
Construction work is already underway and should be fully completed in 2025.
