Swedish property and construction company Skanska has signed a contract with listed property group Fastighets AB Balder to build two apartment buildings in central Gothenburg, Sweden.
Separate agreements will be signed for each phase of the contract, with the production phase worth about SEK 390 mln (€33.8 mln)
The buildings will be located right next to the Heden public space in Gothenburg and will be seven and 20 stories high.
They will accommodate 192 condominium apartments, as well as business premises on the ground floor and a shared garage.
The buildings are designed to blend in well with the surrounding area and will receive a lot of daylight. The yard will feature a lot of greenery.
The plan is to certify the buildings with the Sweden Green Building Council’s Miljöbyggnad Silver (Environmental Building Silver) standard.
Construction work should kick off in August 2023 and the project is expected to be completed in Q1 2027.
