Swedish construction and property giant Skanska has announced plans to invest €37 mln in the construction of a new office project in the Polish city of Krakow.

The building, to be known as Axis, is Skanska’s second office project in the city and will consist of nine stories above ground and three underground levels.

The complex will offer a total leasable space of 20,000 m2 on completion in the fourth quarter of 2016.

'We recognised Krakow's potential when we were developing our first investment here – the Kapelanka 42 office complex, which quickly found both tenants and its first purchaser,' commented Mariusz Krzak, regional director at Skanska Property Poland.

Axis was designed by architects Artur Jasiñski and Wspólnicy Biuro Architektoniczne. The general contractor is Skanska, while Skanska Property Poland is responsible for marketing the property.
