Construction and development giant Skanska's plans to launch 200,000 m2 of new office projects, for an investment of EUR 100 mln, in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) over the next two years.

Skanska Commercial Development Europe (CDE) is currently investing in Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania and Hungary.

The group has already invested over EUR 400 mln in green office buildings in the CEE region and has 180,000 m2 of new office space under construction.

'As we finance the projects on our own, we have the comfort of making independent decisions and for that reason we have been able for instance to enter the Romanian market. We are also pleased that the 'green' way of thinking is becoming strongly anchored in this part of Europe,' said Nicklas Lindberg, president of Skanska Commercial Development Europe.
