Skanska has signed a contract with Osuuskauppa Arina to build a shopping centre and residential apartment complex in Oulu, Finland.
The investment for the shopping centre amounts to €100 mln, with Skanska's construction contract worth €42 mln.
The property will be built in the centre of Oulu, with a gross area of 37,150 m2. The agreements signed by Skanska and Arina include the construction of the new shopping centre Valkea, renovation of the existing commercial premises in the facilities, and the implementation of a pedestrianised area combining the two.
Construction work on the shopping centre has begun, and the aim is to open the mall in spring 2016. The apartments will be completed at the same time.
