Swedish construction firm Skanska has won a EUR 35mln contract to build a new administrative building and the Cassovar Business Center in Kosice, Slovakia. The project was commissioned by Cassovar Business Center and is included in order bookings for the second quarter.

Swedish construction firm Skanska has won a EUR 35mln contract to build a new administrative building and the Cassovar Business Center in Kosice, Slovakia. The project was commissioned by Cassovar Business Center and is included in order bookings for the second quarter.

The nine-storey building will provide some 15,000 m2 of office space and approximately 8,000 m2 of sales area. It will also have a two-storey underground parking garage.

Construction work will start in July and be completed during second half of 2009. Construction will be carried out by Skanska’s Slovakian subsidiary Stamart Martin.

Skanska Czech Republic is the largest construction company in the Czech Republic, booking sales of approximately EUR 1.2bn in 2007. The company has about 7,000 employees in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
