Nordic construction giant Skanska has invested €45 mln in the second phase of the Equilibrium office project in Bucharest, Romania.

The second building will have a total leasable area of 19,900 m2, laid out over 12 storeys. The first part of the scheme was inaugurated in December 2019.

Taking shape in the northern part of Bucharest, the new office will also feature more than 200 parking lots above and below ground. The project is Leed Gold pre-certified.

Construction works are planned to start in February 2020 and the office is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2023.

On its completion, the entire two-building Equilibrium complex will offer 40,800 m2 of leasable area. According to Skanska, the project is a mix of green relaxation spaces and meeting hubs with modern exterior furniture that incorporates wireless chargers, power sockets and free WiFi. It is fully accessible to the community and residents.
