Construction and property group Skanska has sold the Atrium 1 office project in Warsaw to German fund manager Deka Immobilien.
The investment volume was €94 mln.
Atrium 1 is Skanska’s fourth new office project in Poland purchased by an investment fund within the last 10 months.
Situated in the centre of Warsaw, Atrium 1 offers 18,000 m2 of leasable office space and is scheduled to be completed in early 2014. The building is 75% leased, with Bank Zachodni WBK of the Santander Group as the key tenant.
Skanska said in a statement that Atrium 1 is the most sustainable office building in Poland and has already been LEED pre-certified to the highest Platinum level.
Skanska Commercial Development Europe initiates and develops property projects in the office, logistics and commercial sectors. The company’s operations are concentrated in metropolitan areas in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Poland and are integrated into four local units: Skanska Property Czech Republic, Skanska Property Hungary, Skanska Romania and Skanska Property Poland.
Colliers International acted as exclusive agent in the sale for Skanska and Jones Lang LaSalle advised the buyer. Legal advisors in the transaction were Allen & Overy for Deka Immobilien-Global and Dentons for the seller.
