Swedish property and construction group Skanska has divested the headquarters of insurance group Skandia to the real estate arm of pension provider AMF. The investment volume was SEK 1.3 bn (EUR 145 mln). Completion of the deal is expected for the first quarter of 2012.

Swedish property and construction group Skanska has divested the headquarters of insurance group Skandia to the real estate arm of pension provider AMF. The investment volume was SEK 1.3 bn (EUR 145 mln). Completion of the deal is expected for the first quarter of 2012.

The property, with a leasable area of 30,000 m2, was completed in 2009 and is certified as GreenBuilding.

Catella was advisor to Skanska in the deal.

AMF, one of the largest pension firms in Sweden, has also acquired three shopping centres in Stockholm for about EUR 450 mln. This was the both the largest retail property transaction of 2011 and the largest retail property deal by a domestic company ever
