Swedish property and construction group Skanska has sold the Loop office building in Lund, Sweden, for about SEK 570 mln (€55 mln) to Vectura, a UK pharmaceutical company.

The transfer of ownership will take place at completion in 2024.

The Loop, developed by Skanska Sweden, will consist of six floors with approximately 10,500 m2 of leasable area. The property will have office space, coworking areas, restaurant as well as a concert and event hall that can be converted into an exhibition hall.

Located between the world-unique research facilities ESS and Max IV, in the heart of the Science Village in Lund, the building will be a space where researchers, entrepreneurs and students can meet and collaborate in a creative way.

The Loop will be a net zero energy office building, meaning  it annually will produce and use the same amount of energy .

Construction is planned to begin in the spring of 2022 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
