Nordic development giant Skanska has invested €65 mln in the third office building of a mixed-use development in Posnan, Poland.
Skanska, which was responsible for the first two office properties in the Nowy Rynek scheme, said that the third asset comprises a leasable area of around 27,000 m2 over 14 storeys. It is pursuing both WELL certification and is expected to receive both LEED Gold and Building without Barriers for its accessible design.
Nowy Rynek is a multiphase project which will cover around 100,000 m2 in total, creating a new urban quarter in Poland's fifth largest city, according to Skanska. It will primarily comprise offices and retail, with a market located at the heart of a complex of multi-functional buildings.
Skanska said that construction works on the office started at the end of April, with completion scheduled for the second quarter of 2021.
The developer sold the first completed office in Nowy Rynek to US asset manager Franklin Templeton Investments, and revealed that the second building is almost fully leased.
