Skanska is investing SEK 340m (€35 mln) to build an office scheme in Uppsala, Sweden.
The project, dubbed Juvelen, will comprise a seven floor Grade A office, restaurant and retail scheme with a total area of 11,550 m2.
Designed in partnership with Utopia architects, the building is aiming for a LEED Platinum rating. Skanska will employ its patented air conditioning method, Deep Green Cooling, to achieve this. Integrated solar cells will provide most of the building's electricity.
Construction commences immediately and the building should be completed by the end of 2018.
