Swedish construction firm and developer Skanska has divested an office building under construction in Karlskrona, Sweden for about SEK 250 mln (€22 mln).

The buyer is Swedish real estate company Vacse which focuses on owning, managing and developing public-sector properties leased under long-term contracts to agencies of the Swedish government and local municipalities.

The new 5,000 m2 office building will be built in central Karlskrona and will mainly house the HQ of the National Board of Housing, Building and Planning.

The property will be a modern and flexible workplace for the employees of the tenant.

It meets high sustainability requirements and will be BREEAM certified, meeting the Housing Authority's energy class A requirements.

The goal is for the project to be classified as climate neutral upon completion.

Additionally, it will be WELL-certified, indicating that the property promotes good health and well-being for both staff and visitors.

Construction work is under way and transfer of ownership to Vacse will take place upon completion in Q2 2025.
