Swedish property and construction company Skanska has completed several divestments for a total of SEK 760 mln (€66 mln).

Skanska sold its newly completed, net-zero energy office building, Least2, in Luleå, Sweden, to Luleälven Fastigheter for approximately SEK 240 mln (€21 mln).

The 6,570 m2, six-story building is fully leased to Afry, Kriminalvården, and Norrbottens Kommuner. Featuring sustainable transportation options like on-site charging stations and ample bicycle parking, the centrally located building boasts LEED Gold certification.

The transaction, Skanska’s most sustainable office project in northern Sweden to date, is expected to close and be recorded in Q4 2024. The building achieved zero landfill waste during construction and utilized only sustainable materials.

Additionally, Skanska is selling a future residential development in Lund, Sweden, to LF Skåne Hyresfastigheter for about SEK 520 mln (€45 mln).

Arkaden, slated to begin construction in spring 2025 and complete in Q2 2027, will include 139 rental apartments and a grocery store, totaling approximately 11,000 m2 of leasable space.

Located in Råbylund, about three kilometres from Lund’s city centre, Arkaden aims for high energy efficiency (class B) and a 20% improvement over standard climate declarations.

Skanska Sweden will book the SEK 340 mln (€30 mln) construction contract in Q4 2024, and the property transaction will be finalized in Q2 2027.
