Swedish property and construction firm Skanska has been awarded a €50 mln contract by the city of Helsinki to build new apartments.
The project consists of three buildings that are nine to fifteen storeys high with a total living space of 17,600 m2.
There are 212 apartments and four commercial premises.
The buildings will feature the highest energy efficiency class and include solar panels on the roof that will help generate some of the electricity consumed by the property.
Construction work is expected to begin in Q2 2023 with completion scheduled for early 2026.
