Global construction giant Skanska has appointed Magnus Persson to the role of business unit president Skanska Sweden and Lars Jonson as business unit president BoKlok, its sustainable residential division.

Both Persson and Jonson start their new roles on 1 January 2023.

Persson currently holds the role of executive vice president building in Skanska Sweden, while Jonson is chief operating officer and business development director in Skanska Sweden. They will both report to Anders Danielsson, president & CEO, Skanska Group.

BokLok is a residential housing concept providing sustainable home ownership which is jointly owned by Skanska and Ikea.

Added Jonson: 'I am really looking forward to becoming part of BoKlok and the journey in making sustainable living a reality for the many people. After many years leading construction and residential development in the Swedish market, I’m now excited to head up the BoKlok team.

'For me sustainable development, efficiency and performance has always been at the core and this is perfectly aligned with BoKlok’s focus to build well designed, sustainable, high quality homes at a competitive price in the market.'

Persson succeeds Gunnar Hagman while Jonson succeeds Jonas Spangenberg who both step down from their positions as of 31 December.
