Danish legal firm Kromann Reumert said it has signed a lease for some 5,100 m2 of office and basement space at the ongoing project at Kalkbrænderihavnen. The property which has an area of roughly 10,000 m2 office space, was recently sold by Sjælsø to PFA Ejendomme for approximately DKK 350 mln (EUR 47mln), with an expected takeover in December 2008.

The company has also agreed a lease with Devoteam Consulting for about 20% of the area. The signing of the new lease means approximately 70% of the office space has been let. It is expected that the remaining 2,900 m2 involved will be let during 2008.The project support Sjælsø’s formerly announced expectations of profit for 2008. As such, the expectations are still a profit at the level of DKK 800mln (EUR 107mln) before tax and exclusive of any value adjustment, according to the company statement.

The tenancy, which is expected to commence in the middle of 2009, is an extension of Kromann Reumert’s existing tenancy in the neighbouring building, also owned by PFA Ejendomme. The two buildings will be connected by a third-storey footbridge and a tunnel between the two basement car parks to ensure optimum operation and flexibility at the property, the company said in its statement.
