The event is the organisation’s only major conference to take place outside of the USA and is hosted at a different European venue every two years.

Given the impact of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the organisers have taken the decision to reschedule the event for July 2022.

Paul Danks, president of Sior Europe and director of corporate solutions at DeVono Cresa, said: 'While this decision to reschedule is obviously regrettable, it was the only logical course of action for our organising committee.

'Aside from the very obvious health and safety concerns, the quality of any industry event depends on ensuring a diverse base of participants.

'By moving the event to next summer, we can ensure the attendance of as many international delegates as possible and will hopefully take advantage of the renewed enthusiasm for collaboration, networking and socialising.'

The event attracts Sior members from around the globe and features keynote speakers, seminars, networking events and exhibitors along with a varied social calendar including a gala dinner, golf tournaments and cultural visits across Ireland.

The rescheduled event will now take place from 13-15 July 2022 and will be based in the Conrad Hilton Hotel in the centre of Dublin.
