London-based private asset manager Signal Capital Partners has raised €725 mln in equity commitments for a new investment strategy targeting credit and real estate special situations.
The strategy consists of two vehicles which closed in July 2017, and which have already deployed more than €450 mln across 15 investments.
Signal’s new credit opportunities fund focuses on investments in complex, private bilateral situations and highly illiquid public market instruments. The company’s real estate opportunities fund targets commercial real estate investments including private lending, acquisition of debt portfolios and special situation equity.
The company said it has raised the commitments from a diverse set of institutional investors, including endowments, foundations, pension funds, insurance companies, and large family offices across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia.
Based in London and founded in 2015, Signal Capital Partners is a private asset management firm focused on complex, special situations in European real estate and credit markets. The team of 15 manages €750 mln of assets.
