Jones Lang LaSalle has completed the green certification process of Shell’s new Ukrainian headquarters in Kiev.

After an evaluation by experts, the scheme has been awarded a LEED Gold rating - making the office the first 'green' property in the country.

The energy giant's office is located in the class A business centre at Krasnoarmeyskaya st., 100. The leasing transaction of the 2,900 m2 8th floor office space was previously closed by JLL in 2013.

The project team consisted of Jones Lang LaSalle specialists during office development, project management and the certification process and engineering company TRK (general contractor).

Ksenia Agapova, sustainability manager, JLL, Russia & CIS, commented: 'Green development and international environmental standards such as BREEAM and LEED has become common practice for advanced development projects worldwide with most landmark projects now embracing green technologies. The main consumers of these standards are international tenants and investors most of which consider environment and energy efficiency an integral part of their business objectives.'
